Circuit Judge, 4th Judicial Circuit Court. He was initially elected with 52.4% of the vote. Ran unopposed in 2014 and 2020.

Before he became a judge, Soud had about 9 years of experience as an attorney in both state and fedaral courts. For the first 3 years, he specialized in civil litigation, including medical malpractice defense, maritime defense, and other commercial matters. In 2002 he joined his brother to practice at The Soud Law Firm. There, he represented plaintiffs in civil cases.
Before that, he interned as a Summer Associate at Holland & Knight LLP (1998).
This judge is a member of the Federalist Society.
This judge is a textualist, who uses an interpretation of the Constitution that is advocated by the Federalist Society.
He also interned as a reported for The Florida Times-Union (1996) and worked as a nursing technician/orderly in the ER (1992-1996).
