For the first 2 years, she was a prosecutor handling misdemeanor and felony cases. After that, she represented business owners, high net worth individuals, local elected officials and municipalities. She specialized in civil law, focusing on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. She then shifted her focus to insurance defense working for Allstate, representing the company and those insured by Allstate.

Before that, she clerked for 2 summers at Jones & Foster law firm and about a year for Judge Jaworski. She also interned for a semester at the prosecutor's office and for a summer at Florida Power & Light.
