Judge, 6th District Court of Appeal. Appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis.
Circuit Judge, 9th Judicial Circuit Court. Appointed by Governor Charlie Crist.* Won the retention vote in 2012 (71.7%). He ran uncontested in 2018. He also served as a visiting judge on the higher-ranking 5th District Court of Appeal several times.
* Appointed instead of running for election because of a vacancy between election cycles.
Before he became a judge, White had about 19 years of experience as an attorney. In that time, he argued 1 jury trial and 5 appellate cases to completion. He specialized in civil law, including labor and employment law. He helped employers to navigate workplace laws and defended them against employment claims. He worked with management to resolve union-related matters.
Before that, he was a summer law clerk ad 2 different law firms.
He was appointed by the City Council to the Board of Zoning Adjustment and held that role about 2 years. He then served in the elected positions of Councilman for the City of Maitland (1996-2001) and Vice Mayor (2001).
This judge is a member of the Federalist Society.
This judge is a textualist, who uses an interpretation of the Constitution that is advocated by the Federalist Society.
White was a member of the Orange County Young Republicans.
